ORLANDO, Fla. - (February 16, 2023) - Lift Orlando, a place-based community development organization, is thrilled to announce changes to its leadership team. The nonprofit organization welcomes Sandy Hostetter and Mark Shamley to its staff. Terry Prather, former Lift Orlando chief operating officer, is transitioning to a senior advisor, and former chief administrative officer Adrienne Evans is now the vice president of shared services. Eddy Moratin will continue to proudly serve as the organization’s president and CEO.

“We could not be more grateful and thrilled to enjoy the gifts of these amazing leaders within our executive leadership team,” said Eddy Moratin, president of Lift Orlando. “These transitions are essential for us to honor our commitments to the wealth and wellbeing of our neighbors in West Lakes, while we support prosperity and economic mobility of Orlando neighborhoods and beyond.”

After four years as COO, celebrated executive Terry Prather is now Lift Orlando’s senior advisor. His commitment to Lift Orlando dates back more than a decade, through his role as a founding board member. Terry will continue to serve the Central Florida community in his roles as board chair for Visit Orlando and chairman of the board for Dr. Phillips Charities. He will also continue serving on the board of advisors for the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC. Terry's unwavering commitment to justice has played a critical role in Lift Orlando’s work throughout the past decade.

Adrienne Evans, former chief administrative officer, is now Lift Orlando’s vice president of shared services. Adrienne’s ability to navigate the complexities of Lift Orlando’s financial, legal, and overall matters of compliance enables the organization to move with great speed and agility through pivotal moments of growth. Adrienne and Terry worked together on milestone projects in The Communities of West Lakes that were brought to life under their leadership, including Pendana at West Lakes, Pendana Senior Residences, West Lakes Early Learning Center, Jacqueline Bradley & Clarence Otis Family Branch of Boys & Girls of Central Florida, and the Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center, which opens in spring 2023.

Sandy Hostetter has unparalleled expertise in Orlando’s financial and affordable housing markets through her roles as the former president of CNL Financial Group, Inc. and Valley National Bank, and most recently as the Central Florida regional president at Truist. Sandy joins the organization as its first-ever vice president of asset development. In this role, she will be responsible for real estate planning, acquisition, and development. Sandy will also help inform Lift Orlando’s regional strategy to advise other communities.

Mark Shamley is Lift Orlando’s first-ever vice president of community impact. His experience in managing corporate responsibility and community development at the Orlando Magic, Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals, and Tupperware Brands makes him uniquely qualified to leverage corporate partnerships for social investment.
