Announcing: Lift Orlando Scholarship Program

We are excited to announce a significant leap forward in our commitment to education with the Lift Orlando Scholarship Program!

This program offers students in the 32805 ZIP Code a unique opportunity to fund their education and acquire the essential tools needed for success. Beyond tuition, we recognize and aim to address additional barriers that often hinder students from pursuing higher education, such as transportation and access to proper technology.

We hope this opportunity clears the pathway for all students to reach their goals and full potential. As the Director of Early Education at Lift Orlando, Lynn Thompson says, "Scholarship opportunities are not just pathways to education; they are bridges to futures unimagined, unlocking doors for those who dare to dream beyond their circumstances. By investing in scholarships, we invest in potential, fostering a world where every aspiring mind has the chance to flourish and contribute to our collective progress."

An idea sparked by residents

In 2022, while conversing with neighbors, community leaders, and educators, Lift Orlando heard neighbors express a desire for a comprehensive education infrastructure that goes beyond conventional financial aid. Together, we desired to take a holistic approach to ensure that students from high-priority neighborhoods, particularly those in the 32805 area, can pursue and excel in secondary education.

About the Lift Orlando Scholarship Program

We want to eliminate all known barriers hindering students' access to higher education. Here’s what the Lift Orlando Scholarship Program offers:

  • Books

  • Technology needs, laptops or tablets for school work

  • Housing

  • Dorm room essentials

  • Transportation

  • Food

  • Social stipend/spending money

Who is eligible?

Every high school student from the 32805 ZIP Code is invited to apply. There are no income level caps, and students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher are encouraged to apply. Active participation in Lift Orlando educational partners' programs, including ELEVATE Orlando, Elevation Scholars, and more, is a key marker of acceptance. If you’re not a student, however, we invite you to share this information with students in your neighborhood!
