Three Cheers for West Lakes!

As the Community Quarterback in West Lakes, Lift Orlando is a convener, listener, air traffic control tower, and a solution finder for residents and partners alike. In 2021, we rallied Orlando's ultimate female Quarterbacks and asked them to invest in the Communities of West Lakes with us.

Lift Orlando's first-ever Community Quarterback Women's Luncheon was held on October 20, 2021 at Camping World Stadium. Ashley Vann of Vann Strategies, along with a dedicated committee of female leaders, delivered a luncheon event aimed at celebrating women in our community and sharing the Lift Orlando story.

Roughly 170 women attended the event presented by Orlando Health and sponsored by AIT Life Safety, Dr. Phillips Charities, Fifth Third Bank, Lowndes, Sy Saliba and Family, and Travel + Leisure. Eddy Moratin spoke about Lift Orlando's role in West Lakes and the important women who have made an impact in West Lakes. Throughout the program, community leaders including Lainie-Fox Ackerman, Leigh Ann Horton, Yamile Luna, Sherry Paramore, Jayne Sittema, and Lisa Schultz took to the stage to celebrate the vital role women have played in our society.

By the end of the event, approximately $70,000 had been raised through ticket sales, raffles, donations, sponsorships and a surprise matching grant by AdventHealth!

This energetic and supportive group of women showed just what can happen when Community Quarterbacks roll up their sleeves and get to work.
