Legacy In Bloom was a heartfelt celebration honoring the remarkable women who nurture and strengthen our communities, paving the way for legacies to thrive. Hosted by Ginger Gadsden, Anchor of News6 WKMG, the event took place on April 18, 2024. Attendees were welcomed to Lift Orlando’s Women’s Luncheon with heartfelt appreciation for sponsors like Advent Health (presenting sponsor), VyStar Credit Union, KPMG and others whose ongoing support has significantly impacted The Communities of West Lakes.

This year's gathering took place at the Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center, offering space for up to 160 guests. Despite this capacity, the event warmly accommodated over 140 attendees, who convened outside in a tent on the lush lawn.

The event paid tribute to esteemed Legacy Leaders such as Shirley Bradley (West Lakes Partnership), Alfreda Clark (West Lakes Early Learning Center), Jessica Sandoval (Jacqueline Bradley and Clarence Otis Family Branch Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida), Margaret Hill (Rock Lake Homeowners Association), and Yamile Luna (AdventHealth Winter Garden), recognizing their unwavering dedication to shaping The Communities of West Lakes.

Guests relished in a delectable lunch prepared by Swine and Sons, while being treated to a captivating performance by students from Orange Center Elementary, underscoring the vital importance of educational pathways. Throughout the event, the focus remained on the invaluable role of women who serve as the cohesive threads in our society's intricate tapestry, nurturing and guiding both present and future generations, leaving indelible marks on the community.

Keynote speaker Alfreda Clark eloquently highlighted Lift Orlando's mission to support children from infancy through their careers, while Lift Orlando Scholarship recipient Symone Maddox shared her inspiring journey, showcasing the tangible impact of Lift’s support on her personal and professional growth. Director of Development, Dee Coleman, passionately urged attendees to join in Lift Orlando's ongoing endeavors, emphasizing the remarkable progress achieved within the community.

As the event drew to a close, guests were encouraged to sow seeds of generosity, ensuring a bright and prosperous future for generations to come.

Many thanks to the generous sponsors and wonderful guests who made this such a warm and meaningful event.
