Lift Orlando Awarded 2024 Florida Blue Sapphire Award

The Florida Blue Foundation introduced the Sapphire Awards in 2005 to commend excellence and innovation in community health leadership and programs across Florida. Lift Orlando was one of nine recipients to receive a Sapphire Award out of 148 awarded since the program's inception, totaling $7.5 million in support. The awards were presented during the Foundation's annual Community Health Symposium, which brought together 700 individuals from the healthcare, government, higher education, and nonprofit sectors to discuss local solutions for critical health issues in Florida.

Reflecting on the night, Lift Orlando President Eddy Moratin shared, “Honored by the Sapphire Awards ceremony and deeply grateful to the Florida Blue Foundation and our incredible partners like Community Health Centers, Inc. This recognition shines a light on our shared mission of local solutions and community collaboration. Truly, this achievement is a testament to the collective effort of our dedicated staff, board, and our wonderful neighbors in the community such as Yolette Pinder and Paula Kittrel. This one's for all of us!"

This grant will enable Lift Orlando to continue strengthening neighborhoods so people can thrive.
